Dr. Khan is a Guyanese-born Clinical Psychologist, practicing in the states of New York and New Jersey. He emigrated from Guyana to the USA at the age of 23 years. Most of his formative education was in Guyana. Prior to pursuing a doctorate in Psychology, Dr. Khan worked in the financial industry as a retirement consultant, mortgage officer, and financial planning representative. Currently, Dr. Khan is the Associate Director at Pace University Counseling Center. He also is the Training Director for an APA-Accredited Internship and Externship training program. His research and clinical interest are: acculturation, diversity and race-related topics; complex trauma and resiliency; men’s issues, sexual orientation, group therapy, emerging adults, training, and supervision. Dr. Khan also has a private practice, where he works with clients of various ages, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and clinical presentation. He utilizes an Interpersonal, Psychodynamic approach to his
