Dr. Mardenborough-Razack is a Public Health Specialist. Her research interests include drugs, women’s health and mental health. She collaborates with Dr. Allison Squires of the University of Michigan, in the global research on experiences of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Mardenborough-Razack volunteers at child protection and promotion seminars in the hinterland in Guyana. She authored the Poetic Perspectives of Child Abuse. She founded the Indigenous Nurses Committee for Advancement, that mentors nurses towards graduate programmes. This programme empowers indigenous nurses in research. It utilizes innovative competencies to promote and protect health in their communities. It strengthens their voices to engage the national dialogue on the development of policies, programmes and practices for the advancement of culturally sensitive approaches to healthy changes within their communities.
